About The Rent Cap
The Rent Cap is a free tool for Los Angeles County landlords who want to raise rent legally, with the source for every number.
Who runs it
The site is operated by Navazor Capital LLC, a California company, and maintained by Angel Navarro, an LA County rental property owner who built it after finding the rules hard to pin down for his own units.
How the rules are checked
Every rate and city status comes from an official source: the statute, the agency that runs the program, or the city's own municipal code. Each one shows the date it was checked. We aren't attorneys, and no attorney has reviewed the site yet. The methodology explains the process, and data updates lists every check.
Corrections
If something looks wrong, report it. We check every report against the official source and record corrections, with their dates, in the data updates.
